We continue to adjust our departments and groups to meet the needs of the mission. This requires understanding the current culture challenges, collaboratively developing change initiatives to address areas of friction, and measuring and reporting back on the success of initiatives and long-term organizational health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>All-Staff Survey<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The C&amp;E commitee has conducted a rigorous annual all-staff engagement survey since 2022. They were inspired by a <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2022\/11\/what-does-your-company-really-stand-for\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2022\/11\/what-does-your-company-really-stand-for\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harvard Business Review article, \u201cWhat Does Your Company Really Stand For?<\/a>\u201d and informed by Berkeley Lab\u2019s stewardship values. MOR delivers a five\u2011month leadership program for cohorts of 20\u201325 employees with leadership potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, 21 staff completed MOR\u2019s \u201cLeading From Where You Are\u201d series, covering strategic planning, adapting to change, influencing others, interpersonal skills, and transforming professional relationships. The program blends virtual and in\u2011person learning, includes 360\u2011degree feedback, one\u2011on\u2011one coaching, peer accountability groups, and practical assignments. Graduates earn a certificate and join a national network of peer leaders. Student projects spanned areas such as SENSE, quantum networking, network automation, data visualization, workflow orchestration, machine learning, and network performance prediction. Integrated with Berkeley Lab\u2019s broader student programs, participants also engaged in workshops, seminars, poster sessions, and career events. Seventeen ESnet staff served as mentors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program benefits students through real\u2011world projects, human networking opportunities, and skill building, while providing ESnet staff with leadership experience and the organization with a pipeline for recruiting emerging talent.
